All:
If you plan to run for APA Board office, your notification must be to the APA National Office by Feb 5th for your name to appear on the ballot. Many opportunities this year, so if you have ever considered running for APA office, now would be a great time.

Hi Don,

I was going to further distribute your message for any last minute takers, but to expand a bit on that notice... what are the steps needed for an interested member to get this done by Feb 5th?

Ralph:
Appreciate the assist.

Candidates need to send their candidacy letters to the APA National Office. It can be done electronically or by snail mail (see the APA Directory for addresses). It can run up to 500 words, and this letter is published in the APA Magazine, and included in the ballot letter sent to all voting members at election time. The letter should convey who the candidate is, and what he or she would like to accomplish if elected.

We are light on candidates this year. Those who are thinking of running probably already know that Board office entails a lot of work, but the Board members are very good about helping one another execute the agenda and Strategic Plan. And the Board is always looking for energetic members with fresh ideas.

Thanks, again, Ralph, for your continuing support of the profession and the APA.

Don
